Receiving email

IMPORTANT:  If you receive mail via a local 'in-house' server (such as Microsoft Small Business Server, or Exchange Server) it is essential that you liaise directly with whoever supports your in-house IT before going any further.

Incoming email is quite simple.  The only thing you really need to check, if you're connected directly to the Internet is that your email program is configured to collect mail from incoming mail server (POP3 mail server):

pop3.solis.co.uk

Double check your user-name and password are entered correctly - and ensure they're typed in lower case (NO CapiTALs).

If everything looks fine, please check your anti-virus software.  It's possible that your anti-virus software has automatically updated recently and changed your settings.  To diagnose this issue, temporarily disable your anti-virus software.  If this cures your email problem you should contact the support department of your anti-virus provider - NOT Solis, as we are unable to provide support for other software vendors.

If you really get stuck and need to get your mail urgently, you can always use our webmail service.
